You might also look at ceeway.com for drop-outs and such
(Getting everything from one source is not high on my list...)
The VAR tool looks like a freewheel vice.

Both are Freewheel Vises. To hold a freewheel in a bench vise while replacing

FTW? Wow, that's pretty cool. Frank, I had a Yeti FRO back in 88 or 89, and it
was a wonderful bike. I traded it for a Fat Chance that cracked, and I wish I'd
never let that FRO go. I imagine you probably built it.

Jacob, I'm curious what school offers this as a class?
As to what to build, I suggest a basic design lugged frame.
If you are thinking of building many frames for differing circumstances
check that 2nd link, its actually page 12.
